There is a new NetBeans plugin, Filthy Rich Clients Samples plugin. this plugin lets you open any of the examples from Filthy Rich Clients book directly into NetBeans. Just click on the File > New Project... menu item, select your demo, and you’re done!

Related to the book are a three part series of articles by Geertjan. The three part articles are NetBeans IDE : Filthy Rich Client (part 1), part 2 and part 3 cover the GUI topics and show how to use NetBeans in conjunction with the concepts and the code from the book.
